Okay, so I admit it... I am excited to have my kids go back to school! I love having the routines, conversations and just watching them learn is so exciting! Back to school time is also a great excuse to scrapbook! I thought that I would share some Back To School ideas today.
Photos To Take:
- Piles Of School Supplies
- Your Child with his/her back pack on
- Height Of Each Child (stand near the same location each year - I'm going to use our apple tree)
- Your Child in front of the school or school sign
- Cubby or locker
- School desk
- Teacher
- Principle
- You with each Child
- All of your children in one photo
- Have your children hold hands walking to school and take a picture of them from behind
- First week of homework or art projects (in a stack)
- Bus driver
Other Ideas For Back To School
- Total up the cost for your child's school supplies / school fees and make sure to add this to your journaling. It will give your child a neat perspective about how much it cost you to put them in school as compared to what it will cost them to put their own children into school
- Measure and weigh your children on the first day of school and then again on the last day of school - this way you can really see just how much they have grown in the school year.
- Get your child to write his/her name and the name of their teacher on printed scrapbook paper with lines. Cardstock will also work for this.
- Have your child journal about their first day of school. It is a great way to get them involed in their own scrapbook.
- If your child clams up about their day, creat a fill-in-the-blank quiz with questions that you want answered. How often do you hear your child respond with a "I don't know" or "Okay" instead of details!
I hope this gives you a jumpstart on your Back To School scrapbooking! We have many great items in stock right now to get you started on your books.
Until next week, have a wonderful Wednesday!

I live in Ontario and I am really enjoying your blog posts. When I read them I feel like I'm not the only person in the world who is not only obsessed with scrapbooking but believes it to be a very important part of day to day life, preserving history for future generations etc etc. I just wanted to write you a note to say thank you and that you are doing a great job!
