Okay, so I admit, I've forgotten to write my blog for the last couple of weeks... I just get so caught up with projects at home that I forget to write my blog! OOps... maybe my blog day shouldn't be on my day off!
First off, I want to remind you all about the great sale that we have on the book "Snippets". They are on sale now for $5! One of our instructors, LeeAnna took the liberty of reading it for us while on vacation in Hawaii. Here is her book review.

Hey, hands up if you’ve ever done anything devious
related to scrapbooking. Now, I’m not
talking felonies or anything remotely illegal.
I’m talking about those things that may be considered a little sneaky
when it comes to this wonderful hobby, (addiction, obsession, etc) that we love,
scrapbooking.
Have you ever found yourself hiding a bag of new
supplies from the scrapbook store under your old stash until your husband is
sure not to be home so that you can put it away then?
Have you ever ripped up your receipt from the
scrapbook store before even leaving the store?
I mean, why leave a paper trail?
Or, have you neglected to answer your ringing cell
phone while shopping in the scrapbook store so you don’t have to explain to
hubby why you need to “look” at the new line from Making Memories?
Any of this sound like something YOU may have
done? Well, if you are interested in
some fun and quirky stories and antics from a fellow scrapbooker, you need to
pick up a copy of the new pocket novel from Simple Scrapbooks, Snippets, Mostly True Tales from the Lighter
Side of Scrapbooking by Lain Ehmann.
This little book is a quick read with some very
funny stories that had me laughing out loud.
Now we all know that we can be capable of doing some funny, ridiculous,
and sometimes obsessive things because of our hobby and Lain Ehmann captures a
bunch of these nicely in this little gem.
From our husband’s “trying” to understand but just
not getting it, to printing off multiple copies of choice coupons and wearing disguises
to try to use more than one per day, this little book covers most of the antics
that some of us may have taken part in.
I must say, there may be some of you out there who
have not dressed your family in coordinating clothing because you have the
perfect layout in mind or sat on your computer at all hours of the night
“stalking” the scrapbooking websites or lurking on blogs of your favorite
scrapbooking celebs but I will bet that there are some bits in this little book
that you will be able to nod your head to and perhaps have a little chuckle at
because you’ve done it yourself.
And, this week, this little book is on sale at the
great price of $5.00! You should really get one for your own purse and maybe
one or two for gifts for your fellow addicts, um I mean scrappers.
While you’re at the store, don’t forget to check
out the new line just being put on the shelf today from My Mind’s Eye…the Breaking
Free Adventure Series. It’s perfect for
that spring holiday you took or for your summer photos that you will soon have
(hopefully, if the weather cooperates).
And also, you NEED to get yourself a Clearly
Cute-Petite acrylic album. Located on
the front desk by the cash registers, these little books are perfect for
keychains or to put on your handbag or even scrapbook totes. I made mine from the new My Mind’s Eye line
and you can see it in the store to see how cute they are. Hey, they would also make great teacher
gifts…I think I’ll get to the store to pick up a few more! At $2.49, I may get a whole bunch more! You NEED one (or more), and you can tell
your husband that I said so.
