Weekly Update & Miscellaneous Meanderings
So this week as most it was the usual daily playing with my Cricut! :) My next goal is to figure out chipboard! Almost every page in my scrapbook has some kind of Cricut embellishment, be it words or some kind of die cut. When it comes to letters or small items the Quick Stick is the must have tool (in addition to the rest of the Cricut tool kit of course!). The Quick Stick has an end with sticky tack used to pick up small pieces of paper and it also has a handy double sided end which is good for poking or lifting. I love to use the sticky end to pick up letters and small items, I use it to assist with gluing and placement. We currently have a some in stock come in and check them out!
Scrapbooking with Preschoolers at Home #5:
How I get stuff done in my scrapbooks with three preschoolers at home. As Bob the Builder would say... "Can we do it? YES we can!"#5 - Now that you have everything ready, GO! I try to get a 2 page layout done in one or two days (sometimes it takes me three depending on the mood of my kiddos). Eventually/Hopefully the kids will get into the routine and know that they have to behave for an hour a day. Hang in there, some days will be better than others. I found it discouraging when I didn't get a stack of pages done so I leave them in a pile so that over time I have a visual of how much is actually getting done. Remember if you only get one picture glued down it's better than none! Next week, what to do when you are uninspired!

Funny of the week at my house:
Well my first born (by about an 1/8 of a second, actually I think it was closer since they had to push his brother back in. They were ready to come out I suppose!) was providing entertainment around my house this week. His sister was down for her nap and his brother had decided to go into his room for a nap too so the eldest was wandering. Hubby was busy so I brought him downstairs (it was my once a month scrapbook with my friends day).
Well I told him I would cut him any shape he wanted, I figured the Animals would be a hit, but nope he just wanted a heart. So I put the paper on the mat, he hit the button to load the paper, then he select the heart and he pressed the cut button. After it was done cutting he pressed the unload button and he removed the shape and paper. Well now of course we had to cut some out for his brother and sister. Before I knew it he had placed the paper on the cutting mat and was pressing it down. It was pretty much lined up fairly straight too! Then he proceeded to load the paper and was starting to place the cutter at the start point since it wasn't a 12*12 paper. Then he selected the set paper size and went on his way to cutting out hearts for his siblings! Apparently he does pay attention to what mom is doing! Not too bad for a three year old I figure! (hmmm maybe I can put him to work helping me get my scrapbooks up-to-date!)
