When I was little my Mom used to make these candy eggs, that were literally nothing but sugar. Being little and loving sugar my sisters and I used to fight over who got to have the biggest egg. As years progressed we started helping decorate the eggs which gave us our sugar fix right there. This year I was not able to celebrate Easter with my family but I still wanted to do something special. So my sister and I brought out the recipe for those little eggs that used to bring us so much joy. After one afternoon we had chocolate on all sides of the kitchen, icing in every direction and a few little chocolate eggs to show for it. While they look nothing like the way Mom used to make them they sure taste the same. Although they are so sugary I need a glass of milk to chase them down, it is the memories associated with these eggs that keep me going back for more.
So my challenge for this week is to scrapbook something meaningful, maybe a family tradition or favorite recipe.
I hope everyone had a very Happy Easter and until next week,
Always, Amanda
