Challenges... Scrapbooking and Organizing!

I thought I would add another element to my blogs as a weekly blog about organizing could get stale after a while. This week I am going to challenge you all to create a "All About Me" album. We spend so much time preserving memories for our friends and families that we often forget to preserve our own personal memories as well. This week's challenge is about music. I am sure you all remember that first band or artist that got you hooked onto music. This week's challenge is for you all to create a layout describing who it was. For me it was the New Kids On The Block. A friend of mine in grade 7 played the tape for me and I was hooked. I am including the layout that I made for my "All About Me" album.

I have been working very hard in my craft room this week and I have now unpacked 40 boxes! Wow! I can't believe that it took me that many boxes just to pack up my tiny craft room! The room is far from being done, but at least all the furniture is in place and now it's just a matter of finding a home for everything. Note to self: take a picture of shelves before you dismantle them... I'm having a hard time remembering how I had everything! LOL! Now for my second challenge: use a piece of furniture that you already have in your home for your scrapbook room. I have used a IKEA CD tower (Cathy says that all scrapbook rooms should include at least one piece of Ikea furniture, hee, hee) to store all my stamp sets... I actually ran out of room. It works great and doesn't take up a lot of space. Here is what my scrapbook room looks like as of this afternoon.

Oh my, does this bring back some memories LOL! I was in love with NKOTB too (I seriously considered going to the concert when they were here last fall). I already have a Me album started, but I think I may have to do a layout on my obsession with them. Thanks for the great idea!
